The 7 habits of highly effective people (animated book review)
jojoaachen, 23:40h
1. Be Proactive: focus on things you CAN effect
2. Begin With The End In Mind: you standing over your cascade and you see yourself, what am I doing = what I want be able to say??? what do I have to say about myself? Are the things you are doing congruent with the things you want to say then? (being positive? being a good friend/spouse? Giving value to society?-> are you scared of failure and choose comfortable mediocrity?) We have to readjust how we live, when we ask us this question.
3. Put First Things First: what are the most important things to you? -> well being, or relationships, family, spouse, children. - you would never say, organizing papers or watching tv - but how many people spend more time watching tv, then going to gym or cultivating a healthy family environment?
4. Think Win Win: for you to win, another person does not have to loose
5. Seek First To Understand Then To Be Understood: The real question is, does it offer value to the other person?
6. Synergize: The whole is greater then the sum of its parts, you should always be looking for opportunities to create synergy
7. Sharpen The Saw: We can’t find 30 minutes to go to gym to get healthy, or 15 minutes a day to read a book to stimulate our intellect no, these things take to much time. And then we ask for little tips and tricks how to get effective, its like telling an engineer: don’t worry about the foundation, where can we get the magic bricks, the will flow in the air?
